Hi, I’m Cat Riechers, the foodie behind @njfood_travels! I love traveling, sports, shopping, and of course, discovering amazing restaurants all over the map. My food blog adventure began in July 2019, with the thought of ‘if I’m going to recommend a place to visit, I should show you a picture why’. Since 1979, this family-owned spot has been serving up mouthwatering meals with a perfect mix of American diner classics and tasty Greek-inspired bites. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Towne is a must-visit for anyone in the mood for delicious food and a cozy vibe.
A Family Tradition Worth Celebrating!
Towne Restaurant’s story started back in the day when Georgia and Nick Rentoulis opened their luncheonette on Main Street. They brought a little Greek flair to the classic American diner menu, and the locals loved it! Over the years, the Rentoulis family continued to run the show, and their two kids, Matina and Dino, grew up with the restaurant as part of their lives. Fast forward to 2003, and Towne underwent a total facelift - brand new furniture, wiring, and all the bells and whistles.
Dino eventually took the reins from his dad, and since then, Towne Restaurant expanded their menu to include healthier options and even more mouthwatering dishes, keeping up with the times, but always staying true to the family’s roots. Now, Dino and his wife Chrisa are at the forefront, and the third generation of Rentoulis is ready to carry on the tradition one day. It's a family affair, and we are SO here for it!

Okay, listen up. Towne Restaurant’s from-scratch buttermilk pancakes are LEGENDARY. Fluffy, golden, and oh-so-perfectly cooked, these pancakes are worth the drive by themselves. Seriously, you’ll find yourself coming back just for these.
Green Eggs & Ham Sandwich

Towne Restaurant is open seven days a week, so you’ve got no excuse not to stop by!
- Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
- Saturday & Sunday: 7:00am - 3:00pm
There are no reservations - so just come on in and grab a seat with friends, family, or even your fur baby!
