Join us at Propagate for a hands-on leatherworking workshop where you'll create your very own leather tote bag from start to finish.
This classic, minimalist tote is roomy enough for everyday essentials and versatile enough to take everywhere. You'll learn the basics and fundamentals of working with leather while building a bag you can actually use—and be proud to say you made yourself.

No leatherworking experience is necessary.  You will be guided through each step, from assembling the bag to attaching the handles and finishing the details.

In this workshop, you'll:
• Learn basic leatherworking techniques • Work with genuine leather and studio tools • Cut, punch, burnish, rivet, and sew leather by hand and machine
• Learn to use punches, rivet setters, anvils
• Assemble and construct your tote • Attach and finish the handles • Add the finishing touches to your bag • Leave with a finished leather tote made entirely by you
• The finished product will be approximately 16”w x 16” h x 5”
• Build beginner-friendly skills in cutting, saddle stitching, and edge finishing

All materials are provided, so just show up ready to make.
This workshop is perfect for beginners, creative types, makers, and anyone who wants to try something completely different.

Instructor:  Kristal is a New York-raised entrepreneur, sewing instructor, and maker passionate about helping people create with confidence. Through DITH7, she brings together sewing, perfume making, and hands-on DIY workshops that inspire creativity, build community, and celebrate handmade living.
