Christmas Bird Count at Lorrimer Sanctuary

Join us in person for the Christmas Bird Count—spot birds, enjoy the outdoors, and help track local wildlife!

Join us for a festive winter birdwatching adventure! Gather with fellow nature enthusiasts to observe and identify birds in their winter plumage while enjoying a warm cup of coffee or cocoa. Learn about the fascinating birds that spend the winter in New Jersey, discover their unique behaviors, and find out how the annual Christmas Bird Count helps scientists monitor bird populations. Whether you're a seasoned birder or just curious about the birds around you, everyone is welcome!

Bundle up, bring your curiosity, and celebrate the season with birds, community, and a little holiday cheer!

This is a drop-in program, birdwatching all day to keep track of birds observed with a Naturalist guide to help!
