Have you always wanted to learn to sew? Whether you've never touched a sewing machine or simply need a refresher, this five-week beginner series will teach you the skills and confidence to start creating with fabric.
Designed for adults with little to no sewing experience, this hands-on course introduces the fundamentals of sewing in a relaxed, supportive studio environment. You'll learn at your own pace while receiving step-by-step instruction and plenty of individual guidance.

During this series you'll learn:
● Sewing machine safety and operation
● The different types of sewing machines and their uses
● Sewing terminology and essential tools
● Hand stitching vs. machine stitching
● Threading, bobbins, needles, and machine maintenance
● Troubleshooting common sewing mistakes
● Fabric basics, measuring, cutting, pressing, and sewing techniques
● Sewing with accuracy and confidence

Put your new skills into practice by creating a pair of one-of-a-kind patchwork pajama shorts!
You'll learn how to piece together coordinating fabrics, read and follow a beginner-friendly sewing pattern, assemble garment pieces, sew seams, create a waistband with elastic, and finish your shorts with professional techniques. This project is the perfect introduction to garment sewing and will leave you with a comfortable, custom-made piece you'll be proud to wear. Each week builds on the previous lesson, allowing you to practice new techniques while making steady progress toward completing your project.
